Graduate Researcher, Doctoral Neuroscience Program
Matthew received his MS from Loyola University and is a licensed, clinical therapist who specializes in trauma. After years of clinical field experience, he shifted from a solely theoretical approach, to an integrative model of psychopathology that considers the accompanying neurobiological and cellular mechanisms. Contributing to the diversity of Tulane’s Brain Institute, he hopes to encourage more translational research.
Matthew is also an adjunct instructor in Loyola University’s graduate program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and his current research includes traumatic stress and cellular signaling of CRH neurons in the PVN.
